Bluffton Fall Festival

Schumacher Homestead presented by the Swiss Historical Community:
Eat, Work and Play like it's 1850!
- Visit with Farm Animals, investigate the bank barn,  play in the hay bale maze, shell corn by hand, ride in a horse and wagon, or fish in Riley Creek.
- Visit the house and hear dulcimers and fiddles, learn about the Schumacher family, see cooking over a wood fire, discover “rope beds”, view antique quilts, and stroll through the kitchen garden. 
- Enjoy soup served from a cast iron cauldron, fire popped popcorn, smoked cheese, and homemade bread.
- Tour the new Heritage Center.

The first Bluffton Fall Festival took place in 2004 at Mennonite Memorial Home. Since then, it has grown into a community event that currently includes Bluffton High School, Downtown activities such as the Farmers Market, Cars & Coffee, and Entertainment, participation from the downtown merchants, and family friendly activities at Maple Crest Senior Living Village, Bluffton University and the Swiss Community Historical Society.
